You reminded me of additional elements that also affects leaders’ abilities to execute strategy that we’ve discussed before: the emotional fortitude of the leader and the communication infrastructure to facilitate its happening. Each of those can contribute to implementation success. If you want success, people must understand the organisation’s objectives. A rocket needs to be fired up, for sure, but it also needs the right trajectory if it is to escape earth’s gravitational pull!
