This week’s focus: One of the biggest lessons I have learned since I started my own business has been the importance of building strong relationships with my clients and prospects. Any success I’ve achieved has been based on relationships of mutual trust.
You will gain trust, and build stronger relationships with your stakeholders if you are constantly trying to help them achieve their goals. It’s no good just asking for support, or asking for a sale, where no real relationship exists; you must have first demonstrated that you have the other person’s best interests at heart, and that means you should be focused on giving, not getting.
