Stuart Cross
Growth StrategistHelping you develop powerful strategies for dramatic growth
Stuart Cross is an expert in strategy, growth and business transformation. For over 20 years Stuart has worked with some of the UK and the world’s leading companies and their CEOs and executive teams. Working as a partner and adviser to these teams, he acts as a catalyst for new thinking, better strategies and rapid action and results.
Since its launch in 2006, Stuart’s firm, Morgan Cross Consulting, has attracted blue-chip, market-leading clients including Walgreens Boots Alliance, TD Ameritrade, Sealed Air, Greene King, Morrisons plc, Dunelm, DFS, Masco, Pella, GSK, Topps Tiles and EE.
During that time, Stuart has worked on more than 100 discrete projects with 50 different corporations in 15 countries. In addition, he also regularly delivers keynote addresses for clients, major conferences, trade association meetings and business groups on topics covering strategy, innovation, speed, leadership and growth.
His publishing includes over 50 articles and two books, The CEO’s Strategy Handbook (Global Professional Publishing) and First & Fast: Outpace Your Competitors, Lead Your Markets and Accelerate Growth (Business Expert Press).
Prior to founding Morgan Cross Consulting, Stuart held senior managerial roles with PwC and Boots the Chemists. As Head of Strategy for Boots, the UK’s largest pharmacy chain and health and beauty retailer, Stuart led a programme that lowered operating costs by £100 million and also helped to plan and deliver the company’s successful £7 billion merger with Alliance Unichem.
Stuart is a chartered accountant (though he rarely divulges this information on a ‘first date’) and has an MBA from Warwick Business School. In addition to his consulting, coaching and speaking work, Stuart has taught on MBA courses at both Warwick and Nottingham University Business Schools.
Driven by his love of sport, Stuart is a Fellow and active supporter of SportsAid, a UK charity that helps to develop the next wave of British sporting talent. He is also a fully-qualified FA football coach and is a season ticket holder for Preston North End, sitting alongside his equally optimistic – yet perennially disappointed – father, brothers, sons, and nephew.
Stuart has been married to Scythia for 25 years and the couple live in Nottinghamshire with their three sons and Finney, their cocker spaniel. As part of his mid-life crisis he joined his first rock band, The Imposters, as guitarist. Do not expect them to be playing at a venue near you anytime soon!
