Is knowing what you’re aiming to achieve.

I have been working with a management team on the strategic direction of its business, and the team have been turning their high-level objectives into specific implementation milestones. Unfortunately, many of these milestones are unclear, generic and lack the specificity necessary to know whether or not they’ve been achieved!

We are all so busy at work that it can become easy to forget what we’re really trying to accomplish. The management team at my client have gone away to really think about their key performance objectives, rather than simply rushing out a list five minutes before a particular meeting.

If you want to accelerate the delivery of your strategy and to improve the results of your business, ask yourself this: are you clear on what you really want to achieve, and have you communicated your objectives effectively with your team?
